Birding For Birds Of Kuwait

കുവൈറ്റിലെ ശൈത്യകാല വിരുന്നുകാർ കുവൈറ്റിൽ കാലാവസ്ഥ ശരത്ക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞു ശൈത്യത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നിരിക്കുന്നു .    ഈ സമയത്തു ഗൾഫ് കടലിൽ ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന പ്ലവകങ്ങളും അതിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ചു എത്തുന്ന മീനും ഇവിടത്തെ ജൈവവ്യവസ്ഥയെ ഈ പക്ഷികൾക്ക് അനുകൂലമാക്കുന്നു .  ഈ അനുകൂല ഘടകങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്താൻ ആയിരകണക്കിന് എണ്ണത്തിൽ ഇവിടെ എത്തുന്ന    നീർപക്ഷികളിൽ പ്രധാനപെട്ടതാണ് വലിയ അരയന്ന കൊക്ക് അഥവാ ഗ്രെയ്റ്റർ ഫ്ളമിംഗോ . ഫ്ളമിംഗോ  കുവൈറ്റിലേക്കുള്ള ഫ്ളമിംഗോകളുടെ ദേശാടനം പ്രസിദ്ധമാണ് ആയിരങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടമായി എത്തുന്ന ഇവ ലക്‌ഷ്യം വെക്കുന്നത് ഈ സമയത്തു ഇവിടെ കടലിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്ന ആൽഗകൾ ആണ് .  പക്ഷി ലോകത്തിൽ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും വ്യത്യസ്തമായ ഘടനയുള്ള പക്ഷിയാണ് ഫ്ളമിംഗോ അഥവാ അരയന്ന കൊക്ക് . നനുനനുത്ത പിങ്ക് നിറത്തിലുള്ള തൂവലുകളും മുളംകമ്പ്‌ വെച്ച് കെട്ടിയപോലത്തെ നീളമേറിയ കാലും , ബൂമറാങ് പോലെ ഉള്ള കൊക്കും  ആണ് ഇവയ്ക്കുള്ളത്. കുട്ടികളെ പാലയൂട്ടുന്ന അപൂർവം പക്ഷികളിൽ ഒന്നാണ് ഇവ, അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ ഇവയുടെ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത പരമ്പരാഗത ബന്ധു ഇതേ സവിശേഷതയുള്ള പ്രാവുകളാണ്.  ജനിക്കുമ്പോൾ മങ്ങിയ വെള്...

White storks migration passed through Kuwait 2022 November in thousands.  White storks fly south from their summer breeding grounds in Europe in August and September, heading for Africa.  There, they spend the winter in  Savannah  from Kenya and Uganda south to the  Cape Province  of South Africa.

Scares passage Migrant in Kuwait ,This open-country hunter is one of the world's most widely distributed owls, and among the most frequently seen in daylight. Don't look too eagerly for the ear tufts, which are so short they're often invisible. More conspicuous features are its black-rimmed yellow eyes staring out from a pale facial disk. These birds course silently over grasslands on broad, rounded wings, especially at dawn and dusk. They use acute hearing to hunt small mammals and birds.   @irvin calicut

  Montagu's harrier (Circus pygargus)   The Montagu’s Harrier is an elegant bird of prey, often seen flying and soaring above open areas. Very agile in flight, its hunting behaviour is spectacular.
